How to Roleplay
Starting Up
When you create your character, and when it's approved, you can travel around different routes and battle others on your way. As a trainer, when you run into a wild pokemon, you can catch it with a pokeball. A trainer can catch a pokemon on a route. You start out at a certain region, then, move on after a while. Every pokemon starts at level 1 and works it's way up after every battle. Here's the scale.
Levels = # of battles to level up.
1-3 = 2 battles
4-6 = 4 battles
7-9 = 6 battles
10-13 = 8 battles
14-16 = 10 battles
17-20 = 15 battles
21-24 = 20 battles
25-27 = 23 battles
28-30 = 25 battles
31-34 = 30 battles
35-37 = 33 battles
38-40 = 35 battles
41-44 = 38 battles
45-47 = 40 battles
48-50 = 42 battles
51-54 = 45 battles
55-57 = 48 battles
58-60 = 50 battles
61-64 = 53 battles
65-67 = 55 battles
68-70 = 58 battles
71-74 = 60 battles
75-77 = 63 battles
78-80 = 65 battles
81-84 = 68 battles
85-87 = 70 battles
88-90 = 73 battles
91-94 = 75 battles
95-97 = 78 battles
98-100 = 80 battles
When you reach a certain level, this is how many battles you need to have to level up.
Further on Down the Path
After a pokemon reaches a certain level, it evolves, of course. Each staged pokemon evolves at a certain level.
Stage = level to evolve
1 = stays the same
2 = evolves at level 30
3 = evolves at level 20, then 50
4 = evolves at level 15, then 35, then 60
A trainer will start off catching pokemon with a pokeball. As the trainer reaches a town, it has a gym. The gym has specialed in a certain element. After so long, when you defeat all gym leaders of that region, you go on against the Elite Four of that region and hopefully, defeat and become the pokemon champion of that area.
